OK COOL x Squarespace
Campaign
Concept
OK Cool came to me directly with a Squarespace project. I pitched on it, won it, and got to bring it to life collaboratively with their team. That doesn't always happen.
The brief was about bringing together two people from completely different countries and backgrounds and seeing what they could create together, something niche, something genuinely theirs, and then showcasing that on Squarespace. I loved that idea immediately. To me there's something fascinating about people whose qualities and perspectives make them truly one of one. The kind of people that make you curious, that make you want to know more. Bringing two of those people together from completely different worlds and seeing what they build, that's a compelling story before a camera is even switched on.
Creative Decisions
The collaboration was everything. Two people, two completely different backgrounds and creative practices, finding a common language and making something real from it. Our job was to honour that process visually, not just showcase the end product but capture who these people were and how they connected.
Boldness, expression and emotion were the guiding principles for how we shot each subject. The edit mixed lo-fi textures with 3D elements and typography, tying into Squarespace's own visual language while giving the piece its own distinct character. The 3D renders added a layer that tied the visual identity together across the campaign and gave each pair their own distinct graphic world.
The wider campaign featured eight creator pairs across the whole project. Our piece was the cleaner, more considered end of the spectrum, giving the campaign range while still feeling cohesive. Social cutdowns came out of the edit too, each one distilling the story of that pairing into something made for how people actually consume content.
